Heres the fine print from their website: To participate in the program, the referrer must be an active Empower subscriber, and the referee must be a new and active Empower subscriber. The referrer must use their unique referral link in order for Empower to measure and attribute new customer leads. A successful referral is defined as a referee who: (i) is a new and active Empower subscriber, and (ii) uses the referrers unique referral link to sign up and open an Empower AutoSave account or Empower Checking account, and (iii) reaches a balance milestone of at least $10 in either their Empower AutoSave account or Empower Checking account within 30 days of signing up.
